Can't Help Falling in Love
Dimensions: 11" x 17"

Medium: Adobe Illustrator

Idea: Inspired by Elvis Presley's "I Can't Help Falling in Love", the poster depicts a mountain that looks like two people dancing to represent to permanence of love.

Process: I studied people dancing to effectively toe the line between humanoid and mountain. I also experimented with different ways to stylize the mountain and water.

Cultural Exploration
Dimensions: 5" x 5"

Medium: Paper, block printing ink

Idea: A collection of patterns to represent my identity and culture as a Korean. The patterns are inspired by traditional Korean symbols. My personal identity is conveyed through my own fingerprints, and the layers of my identity is represented through the layered patterns.

Process: I first created the patterns for the stamps in Adobe Illustrator, then used a laser cutter to create a stamp of each pattern. Each card was then stamped and made.

Wilber
Dimensions: 17" x 11"
Medium: Adobe Illustrator

Idea: Inspired by a flat push-pin, I wanted to capture the whimsy of teh colorful pins in a font. The roundness is from the round circular edge of the pin, and the small counters are representative of pin points that push-pins leave in the wall.

Process: I made "parts" that I could then manuever in different ways to form the letters in order to keep unity in the font.

해운대(Haeundae)
Dimensions: 7" x 5"

Medium: Adobe Illustrator

Idea: A stylized verison of the Haeundae beach in Korea. The sunset and texture helps convey the picturesque tone with whimsy and playfulness.

Process: I used brushes in Illustrator to create texture and chose a pink-green complimentary color combination to show the sunset.
